Kajjikayalu | Festival Special


Ingredients:
All purpose flour : 250 grams
Grated coconut : 2 cups
Sugar 250 grams
white sesame seeds : 1 cup
Cardamom powder : 2 spoons; 6) Ghee :    250 grams
Refined oil : 500 ml

 

 

 


Kajjikayalu Recipe Making Procedure

1) Fry the sesame seeds and coconut powder (fresh) in ghee separately
2) Add ghee to the all purpose flour and prepare thik poori dough
3) Add sugar and cardamom powder to coconut powder and add sesame seeds also. Mix thoroughly
4) Add remaining ghee to the mixture and mix well
5) Make pooris with all purpose flour dough
6) Prepare small balls of the mixture, put them each in the middle of each poori and close side wise
7) seal the edges and deep fry until brown in oil.
8) Serve Hot
